Music Friyay: Gil Scott-Heron, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Robyn Hitchcock
By Joanna C. Valente
Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:
Gil Scott-Heron - Pieces of a Man
This 1971 album couldn’t be more timely.
Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings - 100 Days, 100 Nights
This entire album is genius and don’t tell me you won’t listen to “Nobody’s Baby” on repeat.
Robyn Hitchcock - The Man Upstairs
If you don’t want to cry and also jump for joy out of your skin while listening to this, I don’t know what to tell you. “The Ghost in You” is a gift.
