Music Friyay: Russian Circles, WHY?, Pete Molinari

By Joanna C. Valente

Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:

Russian Circles - “Milano”

The Chicago-based metal band released a new song and it’s a slow, cinematic soundscape.

WHY? - III. Please take me home, I don’t belong here

WHY? creates a truly innovative sound that is unlike anything else, both serious, cheeky, and resonant. Their latest EP is a short but worth the listen. My favorite: “High Dive.”

Pete Molinari - A Virtual Landscape

Molinari’s 2008 album is perfection. His folk country sound is reminiscent of greats like Woody Guthrie with the soul of Buddy Holly. My favorite: “I Don’t Like the Man I Am.”
