Music Friyay: Nouvelle Vague, Solange, The Cinematic Orchestra
By Joanna C. Valente
Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:
Nouvelle Vague - “Sweet Dreams”
The French band covered the iconic hit “Sweet Dreams” and it’s delightful, airy, and sexy.
Solange - When I Get Home
Solange’s new album is gold. Its R&B, soul, and sensual vocals create a wonderous, and often melancholic, soundscape. My favorite: “Jerrod.”
The Cinematic Orchestra - To Believe
The excessive and decadent band, The Cinematic Orchestra, released a new album full of wonder and atompshere tunes. My favorite: “A Caged Bird/Imitations of Life.”
