Music Friyay: La Luz, Sneaker Pimps, Holy Motors

By Joanna C. Valente

Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:

La Luz - Weirdo Shrine

La Luz’s 2015 album is a surf rock, motown-inspired dream. My favorite: “I Can’t Speak.”

Sneaker Pimps - Bloodsport

Sneaker Pimps are highly underrated and were one of the best trip hop bands around. Their 2002 album is a gem. My favorite: “Small Town Witch.”

Holy Motors - Slow Sundown

The band’s 2018 album is a gorgeous twang
