Music Friyay: The Specials, The Jam, How to Destroy Angels

By Joanna C. Valente

Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:

The Specials - “Ghost Town”

Let’s go back in time to the 70s and listen to some original ska.

The Jam - “Town Called Malice”

The Jam is one of the most influential early British punk bands that tend to be forgotten in mainstream circles. This pop-punk song will definitely put you in an energized mood.

How to Destroy Angels - “A Drowning”

Trent Reznor’s band with wife Mariqueen Maandig is clearly deeply influenced by Nine Inch Nails, however, this is more ethereal and atmospheric.
