Music Friyay: Muddy Waters, Natalie Merchant, Laura Veirs
By Joanna C. Valente
Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:
Muddy Waters - The Folk Singer
How can you not listen to Muddy Waters? His 1964 album is gold. And it will chill your bones.
Natalie Merchant - Ophelia
Merchant is a gifted and incredibly talented musician and songwriter who never gets the attention she deserves. Her 1998 album is an underrated masterpiece. The title track will blow your mind.
Laura Veirs - The Lookout
Veirs is a gorgeous singer-songwriter who crafts tender, delicate songs. Her 2018 album is something not to miss. My favorite? “Seven Falls.”
