Music Friyay: Bell Witch, Nico, Diamanda Galás
By Joanna C. Valente
Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:
Bell Witch - Four Phantoms
If you like weird drone metal, this is for you. It makes you feel like you’re in a graveyard reading poetry.
Nico - Desertshore
Nico’s 1970 album is often forgotten, but she made a hallmark on music with her lonely voice and poignant, reflective lyrics.
Diamanda Galás - The Singer
Galas’ gorgeous, experimental, soulful voice is truly something else. She’s not to miss. Her cover of “I Put a Spell on You” is perfect.
