Sarah Lilius: #NotTrump Series
Why They Voted
They want to see what will happen. To find a circus of regret in the White House. To paint it red. Leave the scarlet light on.
They want to grab it. Anyone's smooth maker of children, life and love. It's not always wet under attack.
Their faculties are birds dipped in blood. Unable to fly. Unable to vote with the sanity of clean feathers.
They're Racist. Misogynistic. Xenophobic. Homophobic. They want more insults against the disabled.
Their eyes turn to jade. Green like money. Count it. Doesn't add up to much when you live like this. No tower. No bafflement.
They hallucinate rich white men by their bedsides. Moth ball breath whispers, vote against your human instincts.
They have no empathy, no circle of life, just chain reactions of hate. Against their doors, it pounds.
